Travel to South Africa - to visit the de Wildt Cheetah-Center

Most people travel to Africa, to take a look at the plentiful game. An experience in Africa is not complete without some visit their refuge wildlife sanctuaries. While in South Africa, you have the de Wildt Cheetah Center tour.
The Cheetah Center is about 50 minutes from Johannesburg, whether to go it by private car, bus or taxi. Once in the middle of a tour guide drives visitors around the Park in a large green Safari truck. The tour takes about 3 hours and a group to join or a private tour once in the Park to enjoy. You must call and book in advance, expect to pay around $ 35 for the base group tour. Tours are available at the morning or afternoon most days.
While touring the Center, my personal favorites were the cheetahs and wild dogs. I was fascinated by the chirping of the Cheetah made noises. You use to call this sound their young and communicate with each other. There were also several other types of animals including hyenas, meerkats, and vultures.
Keep in mind the children under 6 not on the tour due to the close calls between the Cheetah and children despite adult supervision may. A tour guide explained that a Cheetah trying prey up to the truck on a child jumped unsuccessful, of course. The Cheetah opts for smaller prey such as the Gazelle, Impala, rabbits and wild birds. So if you are more than 5 feet tall, they are almost certainly as a Cheetah considered to try too much work to reduce.
One of the tour guides said, as breeding habitat is the de Wildt Cheetah Center the animals and they sell the animals in zoos and wildlife reserves. Are you working populations hard to preserve and further the genetic diversity in the Cheetah and wild dog.
De Wildt Cheetah Center has a history, a family business started as a weekend, then and finally young animals, which were saved, and then removed from the farm evolved into a rescue Center for injured animals, including finally two cheetahs.
The desired by chance a nearby Zoo cheetahs in captivity to breed. The Zoo realized they could in a do this and amount of storage space for such a project to take. You agreed to turn over a Cheetah, de Wildt estates, Cheetah Center down.
Since then, the Center opened his country to tours, helps not only raise much needed funds, but help instill a love and respect of the resident animals at all those who are privileged to the Center-tour.
