It was only six months ago that I returned to Africa. It was exactly the right time for anyone who will keep a refurbished to South Africa, but who wants to hold off spirited of the raucous crowd that inevitably the World Cup anywhere in the world. I especially liked the time I was in Cape Town in my trips to Africa this time around. If you have never been to Alaska, travel to Africa, and come to Cape Town. This windy corner of the world will you convey somehow to corners far, far away.
This is not a fact that escaped the early Dutch settlers, or one that contemporary Capetonians escapes. There are beach communities right along the beaches, the rough life; and then there are the depressing slums that line both sides of the road on your way to the international airport. As slums elsewhere in the world are these filled with despair, poverty, unemployment and alcohol. To many Western tourists who travel to Africa poverty tourism, is a part of the attraction. The thing is, South Africa is now especially affordable. The local currency, the Rand, has been repeatedly over the past few years, thanks to the political problems in countries around devalued. When you are traveling here, be pleasantly surprised at how much your dollar can buy.
Let's say you take the best room in the fashionable Constantia boutique hotel in the Constantia Valley. A room like that would probably set you back $ 1000 stateside. Here, it's fallen to no more than $ 345 today. The same goes for your trips to the best local restaurants, renting a car, safaris and the most breathtaking nature reserves. You can probably take in all that for no more than $ 250 per day, and you totally first class travel. This is a great time to travel to Africa.
As for eating out of Cape Town part, could actually make it worth if you only had to travel to Africa for the kitchen. There is a revolution of sorts here in this section in the past 10 years. But sometimes, it can be a bit difficult to get to. For example, take the Food barn in Noordhoek (you knew that the beach is spectacular and untouched by tourists and everyone else is?); accessibility can be quite a trick, but it's worth. The wealthy Beach community feels disruptive like something you would see in California. And here you will find the Food barn, which South Africa has been named best restaurant multiple times in a row. It is a bistro dedicated to experimental cuisine from the Middle East, North Africa, Asia and French Provencal lends.
The highlight of your trip to Africa would be if you choose to make that, once your visit to Cape Town. Take the example of table mountain. Of course the monolithic mountain a rare face; but the way that it is surrounded by tropical greenery, with natural wild flowers, is something else. The Kristenbosch botanical gardens are in the region, and for a registration fee of $ 3, you go beyond impeccably maintained plants that riot of color. There is too much to see you here to describe in one article; but the serenity, beauty and majestic wilderness you've always wanted to out of Africa here is exactly where you want it. You only need to make the trip.
