Don't forget! This is not brain surgery and there is more than one way to skin a cat. There is no rule without exceptions and your creativity can save you hundreds, perhaps (though unlikely) 1000 's of dollars! Keep trying and don't lose hope if you are not near a listed city! I just blew that off the top of my head. There is still hope for you to find cheap travel to Europe.
Maybe you're thinking, "so a hub of the airlines." Unfortunately (Yes, these beeps!) this is actually not always the most reasonable! in fact, it is often more expensive to go in and out of airline hubs, even though they have still several empty chairs on the large number of connecting flights that people take there anyway. Perhaps this is why they go bankrupt?! In cases where they are cheaper, it's usually a company that is not using that city as a hub for example: cheap travel to Europe from Cleveland on non-continental aircraft. Recently, for example, United! I know.
So jump there. Takeoff. Jump Online and start looking around using this strategy.
